Could be joining New England
Vaughn is expected to sign with the Patriots' practice squad after being waived by the Buccaneers on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
A third-round pick out of Vanderbilt in 2020, Vaughn was never able to establish himself in the Tampa Bay backfield and was a healthy scratch for five straight games prior to being waived. He would provide some experienced depth for the Patriots as they wait for starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson to return from an ankle injury.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
2020
Vaughn heads into what shapes up as a pivotal 2023, at least in terms of his Buccaneers tenure, with a fighting chance to carve out more meaningful playing time than during his first three seasons. He's collected only 79 carries and 12 receptions over that span, logging 383 special-teams snaps to 242 from scrimmage. The 2020 third-round pick appeared set to potentially serve as the No. 2 back at minimum this coming season when Leonard Fournette was released, but the signing of Chase Edmonds seemingly gives the speedy new option the inside track to the primary backup job and change-of-pace role behind Rachaad White.
