PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

FORWARDS

Sergio Aguero, MCI v. WAT (£28): Look for Aguero to shoulder the scoring load with Gabriel Jesus expected to miss at least the next month. It's Aguero and Harry Kane (£27) jumping out as the most attractive options on the slate, and with Kane hoping to overcome an illness to be fit to face Swansea, fire Aguero up with confidence in smash spot at home against Watford.

Marko Arnautovic, WHU v. WBA (£19): Arnautovic has come alive with four goals in his last three outings, averaging over 18 fantasy points per game across that stretch. While West Brom have tightened up defensively, they did concede three goals at Stoke in their last away fixture. Expect Arnie to be involved once again in a mid-season relegation battle.

Fernando Llorente, SWA v. TOT (£14): If Kane misses out, Llorente could see a spot start against his former club. He scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for Swansea, and with Spurs projected to score some goals, he'd be in prime position to exceed value if he's named in the starting lineup.

MIDFIELDER

Raheem Sterling, MCI v. WAT (£25): Sterling logged 33 minutes off the bench on New Year's Eve, but prior to that he had scored a goal in three consecutive starts. After losing Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne to injury over the weekend, Sterling should have added opportunities to excel in the attack.

Son Heung-Min, SWA v. TOT (£21): Son is coming off a hot December that saw him score five goals in seven matches. He topped 20 fantasy points in his last appearance, and a matchup against Swansea is one that we'll want to have good exposure to the Spurs attack.

Erik Lamela, SWA v. TOT (£10): Lamela could benefit from the holiday fixture overload with potential squad rotation factoring in. He's been used off the bench over the last three games, but if he's in the starting lineup he jumps out as one of the best values on the board.

DEFENDERS

John Stones, MCI v. WAT (£14) or Danilo, MCI v. WAT (£14): Stones was back in the match-day squad on New Year's Eve after a hamstring injury kept him out for the last six weeks. His return during the clogged holiday schedule couldn't come at a better time, and if he does re-enter the starting lineup he'd bring good value as a center-back for the biggest favorite on the slate. Danilo would be a viable pivot at the same price, as he's scored no fewer than nine points in each of his last four appearances.

Serge Aurier, SWA v. TOT (£14): Aurier averaged over 11 points per game over four starts in December. He managed a goal and an assist over that stretch, and against the worst team in the league it wouldn't be surprising to see him put up another double-digit score.

GOALKEEPER

Ederson, MCI v. WAT (£16): Manchester City's 18-game winning streak came to an end at Crystal Palace on Sunday, but Ederson played his part to preserve their unbeaten run by saving a stoppage-time penalty to earn a 0-0 draw. City are the biggest favorite on the four-game slate, with Watford presenting a prime opportunity to start a new winning streak. He is the highest priced goalkeeper, but when you consider you only save £3 at most by paying down for another favored keeper, his price is mostly a non-factor.
