Dealt two-year suspension
Magomedov has been suspended for two years by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy, Damon Martin of MMANYTT.com reports.

Magomedov was initially flagged for a positive test on Sept. 7, 2016, and his two-year ban will be credited retroactively to the original date of his provisional suspension (Sept. 26). Due to the lengthly arbitration process, he will be eligible to compete in the UFC again at the end of Sept. 2018. Magomedov had originally appealed on grounds that he had taken a tainted supplement, but USADA ultimately ruled that "contamination was not a valid explanation" for the positive test. It wasn't all that entertaining to watch, but Magomedov improves to 3-0 in the UFC. Jordan is a solid fighter, so it was a nice win for the Russian. Bigger things await the 28-year-old.
