Trinaldo lost to Randy Brown via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
There's never been a fight in Trinaldo's long career in which he made things easy on his opposition, so it should come as no surprise Brown had to fight for every inch gained here. Trinaldo's legendary durability was on display once again, as he survived both a knockdown and deep submission attempt in Round 1. The 44-year-old Brazilian was the one pushing the pace and leading the dance in the final frame, but Brown had already done enough over the course of the first ten minutes to earn the decision. This was the last fight on Trinaldo's UFC contract, but his 5-2 record dating back to November 2019 suggest there's some gas left in the tank for "Massaranduba."

ANALYSIS
Trinaldo will attempt to earn a third consecutive victory in October after most recently defeating Danny Roberts in May. The soon-to-be 44-year-old is 8-4-0 with the UFC and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, despite being one of the oldest fighters on the UFC roster.

Trinaldo defeated Danny Roberts via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-26, 30-27) at UFC 274 on Saturday in Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Set to turn 44 years of age this coming August, Trinaldo has shown no signs of slowing down. Round 1 was a legitimate toss-up, but Trinaldo blew the doors off Roberts over the course of the final ten minutes. Trinaldo landed massive shots on several occasions and appeared to have a real shot at earning the stoppage multiple times. Roberts stumbled to the finish line, but there was zero doubt who would win the decision. Trinaldo literally isn't slowing down a bit. He's always been an athlete who relies on power, durability and excellent cardio to be successful. It would seem as if it could go at any moment given his age, but it hasn't yet. The Brazilian has won five of six dating back to November 2019.

Trinaldo defeated Dwight Grant via split decision (29-27, 27-29, 29-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A point deduction for an eye poke for Trinaldo in Round 3 by referee Chris Tognoni ended up not hurting the Brazilian, but it very easily could have, as there is a clear case to be made this fight should have ended in a 28-28 draw. As is, Trinaldo rebounds from his unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Muslim Salikhov this past June. Trinaldo gets by with toughness and ridiculous durability, and this fight was more of the same, as he attempted just 101 total strikes. He landed 61 of them, but it was a takedown and plenty of control time in Round 3 which secured him the win. It's rarely pretty with Francisco, but the fact he turned 43 years of age this past August and has still managed to win four of his past five fights is nothing short of a miracle. He could retire tomorrow and his UFC run would be an overwhelming success.
