Oleksiejczuk lost to Michel Pereira via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:01 of Round 1 at UFC 299 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
The loss is obviously bad, but the the fact Oleksiejczuk wasn't the least bit competitive was the larger issue. Fresh off a dominant first-round knockout win over Chidi Njokuani last August, Oleksiejczuk ate an early body kick from Pereira that left him hobbled and forced him to the mat, eventually allowing the latter to clamp on the rear-naked choke that ended the fight. The 29-year-old has now alternated losses and wins in his past four fights. Oleksiejczuk is nothing more than roster depth for a company which holds an event nearly every week.

Destroys Chidi Njokuani
MiddleweightUFC
August 26, 2023
Oleksiejczuk defeated Chidi Njokuani via TKO (punches) at 4:16 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Singapore.
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejczuk had legitimate fight-ending power when he was competing at light heavyweight, so it's no surprise he has displayed the ability to finish guys since moving to 185 pounds. The shot that floored Njokuani was a massive right hand that found its mark. Oleksiejczuk expertly followed up and unleashed a flurry until referee Thomas Fan pulled the plug. The finish would go on to earn Oleksiejczuk a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Michal is way too inconsistent to be considered a top-ten guy at middleweight, let alone a title challenger, but he's got some skills and is now sporting a 5-2 record in his past seven bouts dating back to March 2021.
Next fight set for August

Oleksiejczuk will be fighting Chidi Njokuani at UFC Singapore on August 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejczuk will look to rebound after suffering a defeat to Caio Borralho via submission in late April. Prior to the loss, he had won back-to-back bouts via knockout punches. Both Oleksiejczuk & Njokuani possess serious striking power and will look to that to their advantage in about two months' time.
Taps out in Vegas

April 29, 2023
Oleksiejczuk lost to Caio Borralho via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:49 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejzuk struggled with the grappling of Borralho, as expected, but he had a pretty competitive opening frame, and a case could be made he even deserved to win the round. He could not carry that momentum over to Round 2, however, as Oleksieczuk gave up his back during a ground exchange and was done shortly thereafter. Still just 28 years of age, Oleksiejczuk is far better suited for middleweight -- where he has now spent his last three fights (2-1) -- than light heavyweight, but he's still extremely reliant on his hands for success, making his potential path to victory quite small.
Gets Barralho in April

February 15, 2023
Oleksiejczuk will take on Caio Borralho at the UFC event on April 29, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejczuk scored knockout victories against Sam Alvey in August and Cody Brundage in December. He will hope to keep things rolling against Borralho, who has looked extremely impressive through three fights with the promotion.
