Won't fight at UFC 232
Duquesnoy revealed via his personal Instagram account that he must withdraw frim his UFC 232 matchup against Nathaniel Wood after an MRI showed an intercostal hematoma.

The two fighters have just a combined four fights in the UFC, and it's Duquesnoy with the experience edge, sporting a 2-1 mark with the promotion. Physically, the two measure up very similarly, with only a one-inch difference of height and reach between them. Wood won his only career UFC fight via submission to Johnny Eduardo in June, and the mat game is certainly a skill Duquesnoy possesses, with wins via rear-naked choke, triangle choke and guillotine on his resume. He's only been submitted once all the way back in 2013. It's a matchup of two young bantamweights that won't affect the 135-pound title picture for quite some time, but certainly may down the road.

Duquesnoy defeated Terrion Ware via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.

Duquesnoy's leg kicks were the story of this fight. In the first round he landed 14 leg kicks to Ware's 3. He ended most of his combinations with leg kicks throughout the fight. At the end of the first and second rounds he was taken down and absorbed some ground and pound. In the third round Ware's pace and body shots started to take their toll and Duquesnoy began to fade. Ware has never been finished and it seemed like he won the third round. If Ware was more successful at defending leg kicks he may have stolen the fight from "Fire Kid."

That should quiet the hype surrounding Duquesnoy considerably. He got off to a quick start before fading considerably in Rounds 2 and 3. The 23-year-old looked excellent in his company debut against Patrick Williams in April but he struggled against a better opponent in Stamann. Duquesnoy is a terrific athlete that gets elite training on a daily basis with the Jackson-Wink camp in New Mexico, but he still needs to refine his game. He'll be back in the near future.
