DraftKings NHL: Saturday Playoff Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Connor Hellebuyck, WPG at NAS ($8,000): The Winnipeg netminder hasn't lost consecutive games since March 12, and he also gave the Jets a series lead with a 47-save win at Bridgestone Arena to open Round 2. Admittedly, the goaltending pool resembles a guessing game with both series tied at 2-2, but Hellebuyck could fly under the radar on the road. This clash had also been a goal fest before both teams tightened up in Game 4, which adds to Hellebuyck's contrarian appeal.

CENTER

Mark Scheifele, WPG at NAS ($7,000): Sticking with the Jets, Scheifele had a five-game multi-point streak snapped last time out, so look for a bounce-back showing. He's locked into a go-to offensive role, and his 2.47 goals per 60 minutes rank third among all players remaining in the playoffs.

Evgeni Malkin, PIT at WAS ($6,800): After missing the first two games of the series and three consecutive with a lower-body injury, Malkin has marked the scoresheet in two straight outings. He's also registered a point in six of seven playoff outings and been a force on the power play with three goals and two assists. His health is clearly no longer of concern.

WING

T.J. Oshie, WAS vs. PIT ($5,000): The veteran winger threw eight body checks in Game 4, and he's also recorded a point -- one goal and one assist -- in back-to-back outings. With a top-six role and a gig on the No. 1 power-play unit, expect Oshie to continue to be involved in this back-and-forth series.

Nikolaj Ehlers, WPG at NAS ($4,600): It will be important to check Ehlers' line assignment ahead of Game 5. He joined Scheifele and Blake Wheeler atop the depth chart in Tuesday's comeback win, and the trio remained intact for the majority of Thursday's loss. Ehlers has long-standing chemistry with Scheifele and Wheeler, as they've combined for a respectable 3.35 goals per 60 minutes and 54.4 Corsi For percentage dating back to the 2015-16 campaign.

Carl Hagelin, PIT at WAS ($3,800): A potential stack option with linemate Malkin, Hagelin combined with his frequent center for an impressive 3.57 goals and 55.1 Corsi For percentage at five-on-five during the regular season. The Swede owns game-breaking speed and checks out a source of cap relief. For what it's worth, this will be Hagelin's 120th playoff game, so he's also more than comfortable in the moment.

DEFENSE

John Carlson, WAS vs. PIT ($5,400): After a career-best regular season and nine-point showing in the opening round against Columbus, Carlson has a single goal through four games against Pittsburgh. With his salary down, the American blueliner warrants a long look, especially considering he quarterbacks a potent No. 1 power-play unit.

Justin Schultz, PIT at WAS ($4,000): This is a target-worthy price at which to lock in Schultz. He's collected six points, 21 shots and 15 blocked shots while averaging 3:58 of ice time per game with the man advantage through 10 postseason contests. While his quarterbacking gig on the No. 1 power-play has been constantly rotating with Kris Letang, that volatility is more than built into his salary.
