DraftKings NHL: Wednesday Playoff Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Martin Jones, SJ vs. VGK ($7,400): It's been an underwhelming start to the series for Jones, as he's allowed 12 goals with an .840 save percentage through three outings. Considering he entered Round 2 with a career .931 postseason save percentage, there's reason to chase statistical correction at this salary. Remember, the Golden Knights also entered the playoffs with the fewest high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes at five-on-five in the league from Feb. 1 through the end of the regular season.

CENTER

Logan Couture, SJ vs. VGK ($5,700): With two goals and 20 shots through three games in the series, Couture is moving the needle. He's been on the ice for 22.64 high-danger scoring chances per hour and has clicked with linemate Tomas Hertl for a respectable 3.85 goals per 60 minutes in the playoffs.

David Krejci, BOS vs. TB ($4,600): With nine points -- two goals -- through nine playoff games, this salary is a little short for Krejci. However, the veteran hasn't been on the ice for a single high-danger scoring chance at five-on-five through the first two contests of the series. With Game 3 at TD Garden, look for a bounce-back showing from Krejci. There's also plenty of value in his price.

WING

Nikita Kucherov, TB at BOS ($7,400): While the star winger has been held off the scoresheet in both games of this series, Kucherov has remained dangerous. He's driven possession with a 65.0 Corsi For percentage and attempted 16.92 shots per 60 minutes. Considering he only went three games without a point once all season, counting on Kucherov snapping his current scoring funk in Game 3 is a strong lean.

Rick Nash, BOS vs. TB ($4,700): Two Game 1 goals from Nash were key to Boston stealing a win on the road, and he'll need to have another strong showing for the Bruins to regain the series lead. The veteran has recorded an impressive 12.34 shots and 20.86 attempts per 60 minutes during the playoffs, so he offers a high fantasy floor with upside, as Nash remains locked into a top-six role with a spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.

Yanni Gourde, TB at BOS ($3,800): It's been a strong start to Round 2 for Gourde. He's marked the scoresheet in both games while driving possession with a 67.39 Corsi For percentage. Additionally, after recording an impressive 2.72 points per 60 minutes at five-on-five during the regular season, there's likely improvement ahead of his postseason 0.72 mark. Gorude offers plenty of savings, too.

DEFENSE

Brent Burns, SJ vs. VGK ($6,600): The Shark blueliner leads all defensemen in shot attempts per 60 minutes (22.57) during the postseason and has recorded an impressive two goals, two assists and nine shots through the past two games. This salary isn't prohibitive enough to ignore his huge role and high-floor, high-ceiling profile. It also qualifies as a must-win game for the Sharks in their own arena.

Victor Hedman, TB at BOS ($5,400): This salary is ripe for profit. After failing to register a point through five Round 1 contests, Hedman has now collected an assist in consecutive games against the Bruins. Additionally, despite quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play, he's still looking for his first point with the man advantage during the playoffs.
