FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Kari Lehtonen, DAL at MON ($8,200): Lehtonen has won just one of his last three outings filling in for the injured Ben Bishop but has averaged 21.3 fantasy points over that span. Dallas' team GAA of 2.58 is the fourth best in the league, and Montreal comes in averaging 2.51 GPG, which is 29th. Montreal has just nine goals in its last five games as they is playing out the string of the season.

Center

Brayden Point, TB vs OTT ($6,400): Point has four goals and an assist in his last seven games against the Senators, who are playing in their second road game in as many nights. Over the last month, a 13-game span, Ottawa has allowed 17 goals and 25 assists to centers, attributing to the seventh-most fantasy points allowed to the position over that span. Points centers the second line for Tampa's high-powered offense, which is first in the NHL with 3.58 GPG.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, EDM at CGY ($5,400): Nugent-Hopkins has two goals and two assists in his last four games since returning from an injury that kept him on the shelf for almost two months. The Flames have allowed the second-most fantasy points over the last month to centers, surrendering 25 goals and 20 assists to the position over their last 14 games.

Wing

Zach Parise, MIN vs COL ($6,100): Parise has been on fire with a goal in four of his last six outings. In his last 10 games against Colorado, Parise has seven goals, five assists and 36 SOG. The Avalanche have allowed 10 goals, 17 assists and 109 SOG to left wings over their last 13 games. Colorado has allowed 12 goals in its last three road games while Minnesota has recorded 18 goals in its last three home tilts.

Rick Nash, BOS at CAR ($6,500): The power forward is first among all skaters with 6.46 high-danger scoring chances in five-on-five situations. Nash has four goals and three assists in his last 10 games against Carolina, which is playing its second game in as many nights.

Jake DeBrusk, BOS at CAR ($4,700): DeBrusk is part of the Bruins' second line which has been dynamite of late with the aforementioned Nash and David Krejci. DeBrusk has three goals and seven assists over his last nine games and a goal with two assists against Carolina this season. DeBrusk has 39 points — 14 goals — on the season and should continue to play an important role.

Defense

Mikhail Sergachev, TB vs OTT ($4,200): Sergachev has three points in his last two games and falls into a great spot on Tuesday against Ottawa. The Senators have allowed the second-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month. The 19-year-old is still going through some growing pains in his rookie season, but he's part of one of the league's best offenses and gets a chance to produce every game.

Mark Giordano, CGY vs EDM ($5,800): The Flames captain has been hot of late with three goals, an assist and 18 SOG over his last three games. Edmonton has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points (seven goals, 24 assists) over the last month, while Giordano has 13 goals on the campaign, which is fifth among defensemen.
