FantasyDraft NHL: Tuesday Values

FantasyDraft NHL: Tuesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

The regular season grows closer to its close with each passing day, but we still have a little more time to enjoy it. There are seven NHL games Tuesday. Here are some recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.

GOALIE

Minnesota Wild, MIN vs. COL ($16,000): The Avalanche have only managed 2.62 goals and 28.7 shots on net per game on the road. On the other hand, the Wild have a 2.14 GAA at home, lowest in the NHL. Both of these facts certainly point in Minnesota's favor Tuesday.

CENTER

Brayden Point, TAM vs. OTT ($13,200): Point has remained consistent, if under the radar, all season. He's tallied 57 points in 69 games, including 11 in his last 14 contests. The center also has tallied 46 shots on net in those 14 games. Meanwhile, the Senators have a 3.37 GAA and will be on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.

Ryan Johansen, NAS vs. WPG ($10,700): Normally the Jets aren't a fantastic matchup, but they are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back for this one. Since Connor Hellebuyck started Monday, Michael Hutchinson could be in net Tuesday. Though he's played well in two games this season, Hutchinson has a .910 save percentage in his career. Johansen has five goals and seven assists in his last 15 contests, and he's been a power-play threat this season, as well. He's averaged 3:03 per game with the extra man and tallied 12 power-play points in 65 games.

WING

Rick Nash, BOS at CAR ($12,200): Nash has fit in well since being traded to the Bruins. He's notched four points and 32 shots on net through eight contests. The Hurricanes have a 2.99 GAA and an .896 save percentage and will will be playing their second game in as many nights. Carolina also has the 23rd-ranked penalty kill and since shipping up to Boston, Nash has averaged 3:16 per game with the extra man.

Zach Parise, MIN vs. COL ($12,000): Over his last seven games, Parise has notched six points and 25 shots on net. He also has an 8.1 shooting percentage in this injury-shortened season, so there is potential for his puck-luck to pick up now that he seems to be fully healthy. The Avalanche have really struggled on the road, as they have a 3.53 GAA in away games. That is the second highest in the NHL.

Jake DeBrusk, BOS at CAR ($10,500): DeBrusk has gotten hot, as he's tallied nine points in his last seven contests. With injuries hitting the Bruins, the 21-year-old has also gotten some more opportunities, which have helped his fantasy potential. As previously noted the Hurricanes have a 2.99 GAA, and they just gave up six goals Monday. Though they will be at home, Carolina still needs to travel from New York in order to play its second game of a back-to-back.

DEFENSEMEN

Dougie Hamilton, CGY vs. EDM ($11,200): Hamilton has a career-high 15 goals already through 70 games, and he's also found quite a bit of power-play success. He's averaged 2:39 per game with the extra man and tallied six goals and six assists in that time. The Oilers have the worst penalty kill in the NHL, so anybody with any power-play acumen could make something out of this matchup.

Ryan McDonagh, TAM vs. OTT ($10,200): McDonagh made his debut with the Lightning in their last game, and although he only registered one shot on goal, the fact he played 19:15 is encouraging. He still needs to smooth out a few kinks with his new team, but this is the kind of game that can help make that happen. The Senators have a 3.37 team GAA, second highest in the NHL, and they are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back. If McDonagh gets any power-play time in his second game, Ottawa also has the 28th-ranked penalty kill.
