FantasyDraft NHL: Tuesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

Here are some suggestions for a hearty nine-game slate Tuesday…

GOALIE

Minnesota Wild, MIN vs. CAR ($17,300): The Wild have a 23-5-6 record at home, while on the other hand the Hurricanes are 3-5-2 on the road. Minnesota has also been stellar defensively in its own arena with a 2.15 home GAA, best in the league by a wide margin. Carolina, meanwhile, has only averaged 2.62 goals per game.

CENTER

Brayden Point, TAM vs. FLA ($12,800): Point may not be as under-the-radar as he used to be, but he's still underrated. He has 26 goals and 30 assists in 66 games, including six goals and four assists in his last 11 contests. Tampa's in-state rival has a 3.11 GAA and has allowed 34.6 shots on net per contest.

Jonathan Toews, CHI vs. COL ($10,400): Toews has struggled to score this season, but there are still reasons for positivity. For example, he's put 38 shots on net in his last 12 games, and if not for his 5.8 shooting percentage in that time, he would have at least another goal or two. The Avalanche have a 3.53 team GAA and have allowed 32.3 shots on goal per game on the road.

WING

Kyle Connor, WPG at NYR ($12,400): Connor has started 54.9 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second highest among Winnipeg forwards. He's also currently slated on the Jets' top line alongside Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler, which is a great assignment. Meanwhile, the Rangers have struggled mightily recently. Since the All-Star break, they have a 3.63 team GAA and have given up a whopping 37.5 shots on net per game.

Corey Perry, ANA vs. WAS ($11,700): Perry has six points over a three-game point streak. The Capitals have really struggled on the road this year — they have a 3.55 GAA in away games, second highest in the NHL, and they've also allowed 34.5 shots on net per contest as well. Plus, be it home or away, Braden Holtby has a 3.00 GAA and a .908 save percentage this season.

Kyle Palmieri, NJD vs. MON ($11,500): Palmieri has been pouring pucks on net as in his last six games, tallying 29 shots. On top of that, he's averaged 2:44 per game on the power play and notched 15 points with the extra man in 47 games. The Canadiens have the 25th-ranked penalty kill and are also without Carey Price.

DEFENSEMEN

Torey Krug, BOS vs. DET ($11,700): Krug has notched 12 points and 40 shots on goal in his last 12 games, including four points on the power play. Jimmy Howard is shouldering the load for the Red Wings since the trade of Petr Mrazek, and in his last 15 games he has a 3.13 GAA and .901 save percentage. Detroit also has the 23rd-ranked penalty kill, which bodes well for Krug, a power-play fixture.

Ryan Suter, MIN vs. CAR ($11,200): Suter has 39 assists through 66 games, including nine in his last eight. He's also averaged 3:03 per game on the power play and has notched 20 points with the extra man. On the road, the Hurricanes have a 3.16 GAA and .890 save percentage. They also have the 22nd-ranked penalty kill.
