DraftKings NHL: Sunday Picks

DraftKings NHL: Sunday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

Sunday's main slate of games begins at 5:00 PM ET. Here are some players I recommend from the five games…

GOALIE

Ben Bishop, DAL at SAN ($7,600): Over his last 20 games, Bishop has posted a 2.15 GAA and .930 save percentage. The Stars are 7-3-0 in their last 10 contests and have only allowed 28.8 shots on per game on the road.

CENTER

Nazem Kadri, TOR at DET ($6,000): Kadri has tallied 14 points and 27 shots on net in his last 10 contests, including a five-point outing Wednesday. The Wings are on the second night of a back-to-back after playing in Nashville on Saturday. Either Petr Mrazek will have to start on no rest, of Jimmy Howard, who has a 3.70 GAA and .884 save percentage in his last eight games, will be in net.

Pierre-Luc Dubois, CLM vs. PIT ($5,100): Dubois' offense has picked up, as he has five points and 21 shots on net in his last seven contests. He's also started 66.9 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, most on the Blue Jackets. The Penguins are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back and have a 3.67 team GAA on no rest.

WING

Jeff Skinner, CAR vs. NJD ($6,200): Though Skinner has struggled to score at times, he has four goals in his last four games. He also has put a whopping 203 shots on net through 59 contests. New Jersey is on the second game of a back-to-bac and have a 3.73 team GAA with no rest. Plus, since Cory Schneider is banged up, Keith Kinkaid (3.24 GAA, .893 save percentage) will likely be in goal for the Devils.

James van Riemsdyk, TOR at DET ($5,500): Van Riemsdyk has five points in his last six games and has put 172 shots on net through 59 contests. He's also tallied 15 power-play points, including eight goals. Detroit has the 26th-ranked penalty kill due to a recent dip in performance. They were ranked 19th prior to the All-Star break.

Kyle Connor, WPG vs. FLA ($5,400): Connor is currently skating on Winnipeg's top line while starting 55.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone — second most on the team. The rookie has also scored 19 goals in 52 games. Florida has a 3.19 team GAA and has allowed 34.7 shots on net per contest. On top of that, the Panthers are another team on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.

DEFENSEMEN

Tyler Myers, WPG vs. FLA ($4,500): Myers has 29 points through 58 games, including 16 on the power play. Since Roberto Luongo started Saturday, James Reimer (3.10 GAA, .909 save percentage) will likely get the nod Sunday.

Jaccob Slavin, CAR vs. NJD ($4,400): Slavin has tallied four points in his last five contests. The Devils have a 3.02 team GAA, but with Kinkaid likely tending twine for the second leg of a back-to-back, things look even better for the Hurricanes. Slavin has also blocked 122 shots in 59 games, so he can add a little fantasy value there.
