Goalie
Mike Smith, CGY at TB ($8,200): Smith has wins in four straight starts and has seen at least 29 shots in each of his last five games. Over that five-game stretch, he's averaged 27.36 fantasy points. Rostering Smith against Tampa Bay is certainly a risky proposition, but one worth considering especially in tournaments where his ownership will be low.
Center
Ryan O'Reilly, BUF vs CBJ ($5,600): O'Reilly has points in back-to-back games with two goals and two assists and has averaged four shots on goal over his last three. He has 11 goals and 18 assists on the season and six goals on the power play. He's sitting at over 20 minutes of ice time per game — including over three minutes on the power play.
Brayden Point, TB vs CGY ($5,900): Point is coming off of a three-assist game and now has 16 goals to go along with 23 assists in 43 games this season. He has seven points on the power play for the Lightning and is centering a second line with Ondrej Palat and Tyler Johnson, who I'll mention later. With the Flames being somewhat thin up the middle and Steven Stamkos likely getting most of their attention, Point should see favorable matchups.
Wing
Tyler Johnson, TB vs CGY ($6,400): Johnson has been red-hot of late with points in three straight games — including four goals and an assist. With 16 goals and 18 assists in 42 games, Johnson has been a major contributor to Tampa's depth scoring. He makes the most of his ice time, even if he's averaging under 17 minutes.
Nick Foligno, CBJ at BUF ($4,900): Foligno is having a tough season with just nine goals and seven assists to this point. He does have goals in back-to-back games and has scored in four of his last six games against the Sabres. He's skating on the second line with Boone Jenner and Sonny Milano, a line worth stacking against the Sabres, who allow 3.47 goals per game, second-most in the NHL.
Teuvo Teravainen, CAR at WAS ($5,600): While skating on the first line with Jordan Staal and Sebastian Aho, Teravainen has points in four straight games. He also has three goals in his last five games against the Capitals. Look at Teravainen as a cheap salary-saving option.
Defense
Rasmus Ristolainen, BUF vs CBJ ($4,900): Ristolainen is still very underpriced relative to his production over his last six games. Over that span, he has two goals and five assists and draws a good matchup against Columbus. The Blue Jackets have allowed the fifth most fantasy points over the last month to defensemen. Ristolainen sees a bump skating on the top power-play unit against Columbus' struggling 21st-ranked penalty kill.
Seth Jones, CBJ at BUF ($5,500): Jones has five assists in his last four games with an average of three shots on goal over that span. He has three points in his last three games against Buffalo, which has been giving up a substantial amount of goals all season (second most per game, to be exact). Look for Jones to add to his point total, which sits at 28 with seven goals and 21 assists.
