FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

Goalie

Connor Hellebuyck, WPG vs BUF ($7,900): Hellebuyck is coming off two good starts, one of which came against the Sabres which resulted in a victory and 20.8 fantasy points. Tuesday the Jets should be able to score in support of Hellebuyck, and with the Jets netminder winning five of his last six overall, he now has 23 wins on the season to go along with a .923 save percentage, 2.36 GAA, and three shutouts.

Center

Nicklas Backstrom, WAS vs VAN ($6,500): Backstrom has points in three straight games with two goals and five assists, two of which have come on the power play. He's accumulating a heavy share of ice time with over 20 minutes per game over his last four. Backstrom offers a solid floor against the Canucks, who've allowed 15 goals and 23 assists to centers over their last 11 games.

Paul Stastny, STL vs FLA ($4,800): With points in three of his last four games and 14 shots on goal over that span, Stastny is liking life on the first line with Vladimir Tarasenko. At his salary, he makes fitting Tarasenko into your lineup simple, making for a high upside stack.

Wing

Tyler Johnson, TB vs CAR ($5,700): Fresh off of a 7-1 beatdown at the hands of the Bruins, the Hurricanes have a tall task in stopping the Lightning, who average a league-high 3.64 goals per game. Johnson has points in back to back games and two goals to go along with three assists in his last two against Carolina.

Kyle Connor, WPG at BUF ($4,600): Connor is due to bounce back for the Jets who are averaging 3.33 goals per game, third-most in the league in a good spot against the Sabres who are allowing 3.38 goals per game, the third-most in that category. On the first line and top power-play unit, Connor has flourished this season with 13 goals, 12 assists, and four points on the power play.

Sebastian Aho, CAR vs TB ($6,500): With points in six of his last seven games and four or more shots in all but two of those contests, Aho is a solid option to produce Tuesday. If the Hurricanes want to keep up with Tampa Bay's scoring ability, the top line of Aho, Jordan Staal, and Teuvo Teravainen will need to lead the charge.

Defense

Roman Josi, NSH vs EDM ($5,600): Josi broke a three-game pointless streak in his last game with a goal. He also had three shots on goal in that game, which is about par for the course, as Josi averages 3.39 per game, second most among defensemen. The Oilers have allowed the second most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month, and Josi has three points in his last two games against them.

Jacob Trouba, WPG at BUF ($4,700): Trouba has points in back-to-back games with a goal, two assists, five shots on goal, and three blocked shots. The Sabres have allowed 11 goals to defensemen over their last 12 games. Trouba had a goal and an assist in his last game against Buffalo four days ago and is in position to produce again.
