Finalizing two-year extension
Bortuzzo is closing in on a two-year, $1.9 million contract extension with the Blues, per Scottie Upshall of Missin Curfew.
ANALYSIS
Bortuzzo isn't exactly an offensive dynamo considering he has never reached the 15-point mark in his 11-year NHL career, but he is the type of shutdown defenseman that every team wants. As such, locking him up for another two years is good business for the Blues even if the move will go unnoticed by the majority of fantasy players.

Bortuzzo suited up in just 42 games last year, serving as an occasional healthy scratch. The 31-year-old features minimal fantasy upside; his career high is 13 points back in the 2017-18 season. Bortuzzo's a physical presence on the blue line, although he may cede that role to Niko Mikkola as the season progresses.
