ANALYSIS
McKelvie, who played four seasons with the Army Black Knights from 2005-08, originally signed with the B's in 2009, but commitments to the Army precluded him from pursuing his pro hockey career at that time. The 6-2 200-pounder has some wheels, having won the 2009 fastest skater competition at the Frozen Four and he'll give the Bruins organization, which has taken great pains to collect blue line depth, another skilled backliner to develop.
