FanDuel Fantasy Football: Week 16 Picks

FanDuel Fantasy Football: Week 16 Picks

This article is part of our FanDuel Fantasy Football series.

QUARTERBACK

Joe Flacco, BAL vs. IND ($7,400) - Flacco is only available in the Saturday-only games but is one of the best options at the position this weekend. He's come alive the last few games as Baltimore's found a legitimate run threat in Alex Collins, posting 21.82, 17.76 and 18.66 fantasy points. The Colts are dismal against quarterbacks, allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to the position, including the limited "snow game" in Buffalo. Rashaan Melvin, their best corner, is expected to miss this game, and with Jeremy Maclin out, pairing Flacco with Mike Wallace ($5,900) makes a lot of sense.

RUNNING BACK

Mike Gillislee, NE vs. BUF ($4,500) - Gillislee is expected to be activated with Rex Burkhead injured. Gillislee scored four touchdowns in the first two games of the season but subsequently found himself in the Belichick doghouse. However, he's the team's biggest back, likely giving him the goal-line carries, and he's playing his former team. While he's at the minimum price, he's probably best left for GPPs as he has a better ceiling than floor.

Ezekiel Elliott, DAL vs. SEA ($8,300) -
After Todd Gurley, the next running back with the most fantasy points per game is Elliott, yet he's in a three-way tie for the fifth-highest priced back this week. That's likely due to him returning from suspension and there is still the false idea the Seahawks are good against the run (14th in the league in YPC at 4.1). Of the eight running backs at this price or higher, Elliott has as much upside at home being well rested and playing with a narrative against the league.

WIDE RECEIVER

Dede Westbrook, JAC at SF ($5,900) - This price is not where it should be if Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee are out as expected. Yes, Keenan Cole and Jaydon Mickens had big games last week, but Westbrook is the most talented of the trio. The 49ers haven't shown the ability to tackle all season and are middle of the league when it comes to giving up fantasy points to wide receivers.

Robert Woods, LAR at TEN ($6,600) -
Woods returned to the field last week and didn't miss a beat, finishing with 45 yards and, more important, a touchdown. He's now scored 13.5, 12.1, 33.1 and 21 fantasy points in his last four games, showing both a solid floor and a big ceiling. The Titans have given up the ninth-most fantasy points to wide receivers making this a decent matchup.

TIGHT END

Vernon Davis, WAS vs. DEN ($6,000) - Davis' game logs have been a rollercoaster since Jordan Reed was hurt. However, things appear to be looking up for Davis, who faces a Denver defense prone to tight ends. The Broncos have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to the position, and with Denver's strength being at the corners, Cousins should go over the middle a lot to Davis.

KICKER

Harrison Butker, KC vs. MIA ($4,900) - Kickers have been worth paying up for this season considering what the top-priced kickers have done. Without Greg Zuerlein, this week it's Butker, who averages the most fantasy points per game but is only the fifth-highest priced kicker. The Dolphins at home shouldn't be a challenge for the Chiefs' offense, which should move the ball up and down the field.

DEFENSE

Chicago Bears vs. Cleveland ($4,800) - The Bears' defense has been better than expected this season and gets a great matchup against DeShone Kizer and the Browns. Kizer has committed seven turnovers the last three games. Weather could play a factor, and the Chicago defense has scored 10, 11 and 30 fantasy points at home this season.
