Here are our rankings for the coming week at each position to help you decide your starting lineup. Our rankings are based on the following scoring system: three points for a passing touchdown; six points for a rushing/receiving touchdown; one point for every 20 passing yards; and one point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards.

Note: Garrard missed last week with a concussion and Trent Edwards sat with a thumb injury, so Todd Bouman started and looked good early against the Chiefs. He threw three late interceptions and was playing with a finger injury, however. It looks initially as if Garrard will be back this week, as he passed his concussion test Tuesday.
Update: Garrard practiced Wednesday and Thursday and should start, with Edwards backing him up.

Note: I'm operating under the assumption that Alex Smith won't be able to go because of his sprained left shoulder.
Update: Alex Smith has been ruled out and it'll be Troy Smith, not David Carr that gets the start.
