Only four catches in 2023
Chosen secured four of six targets for 126 yards and one touchdown across nine appearances with the Dolphins in 2023.
ANALYSIS
Chosen's season highlight came in his first appearance, when he hauled in a 68-yard touchdown on his lone target during Miami's trouncing of the Broncos in Week 3. The veteran was quiet after that point, as he spent the rest of the campaign bouncing between the Dolphins' practice squad and active roster. Given that Chosen is playing on a one-year deal and set to become an unrestricted free agent, his best chance of earning another contract in Miami will likely be to make another splash play or two in the playoffs, starting with Saturday's wild-card matchup at Kansas City.

Uncertainty over role
Chosen, who signed with the Dolphins in April, has been getting sporadic reps in 11-on-11 drills during training camp, Omar Kelly of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kelly notes that one of the reasons why Chosen might be getting less reps in team drills than undrafted receivers could be due to his workload in earlier offseason programming, when he handled a larger number of reps in the absence of Tyreek Hill and the limited availability of Jaylen Waddle and Braxton Berrios. Receivers coach Wes Welker told reporters Friday that Chosen has done well in his limited opportunities, while Chosen noted that he's "not worried" about his limited opportunities and that he's "very appreciative to be home." Chosen split time between the Cardinals and Panthers last season, registering just 20 catches for 282 yards and one touchdown in 16 games.

Chosen (formerly known as Anderson) broke out with a 1,096-yard receiving campaign with the Panthers back in 2020, but that feels like a distant memory after following it up with two straight seasons of reduced production, culminating in a 282-yard 2022 effort. It will befit Anderson, heading into his age-30 season, to have the likes of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle demanding the focus of opposing secondaries, and there could be weeks when coach Mike McDaniel's gameplan utilizes the No. 3 option, whether that's Chosen, Cedrick Wilson or Braxton Berrios.
