Attempting NFL comeback
Ross is set to participate in rookie minicamp with the Eagles on a tryout basis after announcing his retirement last year, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Ross announced his retirement at the start of training camp last year after initially signing a reserve/future contract with Kansas City. He was waived from the Chiefs' reserve/retired list in late November and became a free agent, and he now appears to be interested in reviving his NFL career. Ross' most recent action came in 2021 with the Giants, when he played in 10 games and recorded 11 receptions (on 20 targets) for 224 yards and a touchdown while adding one rush for 16 yards.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Showing off speed
Ross' speed and athleticism have stood out so far in camp with the Giants, Tom Rock of Newsday Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Ross is buried down the depth chart in New York's deep receiving corps, but he's doing his best to give himself a chance by showcasing his impressive physical skills. His measurables have never been in question, but the ninth overall pick in the 2017 draft wasn't able to convert his elite speed and athleticism into much production in Cincinnati. The Giants are taking a flier on Ross in the hopes that a new coaching staff will help make things click on the field.

The ninth overall pick in the 2017 Draft, Ross never lived up to his pedigree in Cincinnati, in part due to injuries, and the Giants signed him via free agency in March. Ross can flat out fly. His 4.22 40 at the combine set a record, and at 5-11, 194, he's not as small as many of the league's other burners. Unfortunately, even if he stays healthy, he'll begin the year behind Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton and rookie first-rounder Kadarius Toney.
