ANALYSIS
A fifth-round pick of the Packers in 2014, Abbrederis suited up for 22 regular-season contests with Green Bay and Detroit across his four years in the NFL, finishing his career with 13 receptions for 163 yards and no touchdowns. Abbrederis' most significant action came during the Packers' 2015 postseason run, when a slew of injuries to other wideouts vaulted him up the depth chart and allowed him to pick up 16 targets over two playoff outings.

The battle for the No. 4 and 5 receiver jobs in Detroit should be among the fiercest in camp and will likely come down to the wire. Along with TJ Jones, Jace Billingsley and Keshawn Martin, Abbrederis is at the forefront of the competition. The winners will probably be the two who contribute most on special teams. However, regardless of who comes out on top, the reserve receiver gigs in Detroit are hardly worth fantasy consideration.
As one of Green Bay's three receivers left standing at season's end, Abbrederis saw an expanded role in the Packers' playoff loss to the Cardinals. Abbrederis himself had a career initially marred by knee and concussion issues, but in the divisional round versus Arizona, fully healthy, he displayed an obvious connection with All-World quarterback Aaron Rodgers, as the gunslinger looked Abbrederis' way a grand total of 12 times. Abbrederis will need to continue developing that chemistry as 2016 approaches, as the Packers employ a stable of capable receivers and one or two are bound to be the odd man out. Abbrederis, serving a role eerily similar to that of Randall Cobb, could very well be one of those odd men out.
Abbrederis was selected in the fourth round in 2014, but he was unable to make any sort of impact in his rookie season thanks to a torn ACL suffered early in training camp. Abbrederis is a good route runner and a decent athlete, making him a good bet to earn a roster spot this year. He’s unlikely to contend for a spot among the Packers' top three wideouts, but he could open the season as the Packers' fourth receiver if he makes it through training camp unscathed.
Abbrederis doesn't have breakaway speed or ideal size, but his sharp routes and body control could allow him to become a useful weapon on the outside once he adapts to the pro game.
