Breaux signed a one-year contract Monday to play for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Breaux will return to where his professional football career started after playing in just six games over the last two season in New Orleans. The defensive back had two great seasons with the Tiger-Cats, and he will now look to return to form after a fractured fibula ended his 2017 NFL campaign before it even started.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
2015
In 2015, Breaux was rated as one of the NFL's top cornerbacks according to scouting services such as Pro Football Focus. He was also a decent IDP option, managing 45 tackles (37 solo), 19 pass breakups, and three interceptions that season. However, the former Canadian Football League star was limited to six games in 2016 due to a broken fibula and a season-ending shoulder injury. Healthy entering training camp, Breaux is projected to be one of the Saints' starting cornerbacks in 2017.
Breaux, a New Orleans native, was never able to play college football after breaking his neck in high school. But, he worked his way up through semipro football, the Arena Football League, and the Canadian Football League, before signing with the Saints last offseason. As it turned out, Breaux was much more than a great story, but also one of the league's top rated cornerbacks according to scouting services such as Pro Football Focus. With 45 tackles (37 solo), 19 pass breakups, and three interceptions, Breaux proved to be a playmaker in only his first NFL season. Locked in as the Saints' No. 1 cornerback entering 2016, Breaux should be able to build on his success in his sophomore campaign, making him a solid IDP option thanks to his well-rounded fantasy contributions.
Breaux, a standout in the Canadian Football League, will compete to be the nickel cornerback for the Saints.
