Fidler announced his commitment to Michigan State on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
For the first time since Tyson Walker in 2021, Michigan State received a transfer commitment courtesy of Fidler. He is an excellent get to be the Spartans' first transfer in a while, having averaged 20.1 points and 6.3 rebounds across his 33 games started for Omaha's 2023-24 team. There are several ways Michigan State can operate with him now that A.J. Hoggard is not expected to enroll there next season. Fidler is capable of playing both forward positions, so the question is whether the Spartans use a traditional rotation or go small. The former is more likely considering Fidler's preference, meaning Jaden Akins moves to MSU's primary backcourt in place of Hoggard.
