August 20, 2021
McGrory announced Friday that he has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
McGrory spent four years with the Badgers after walking onto the team in 2017 but never was able to really push his way into the rotation. He transferred to South Dakota after this past season but it seems unlikely he'll be able to suit up while he undergoes treatment for cancer.
