Francisco Santiago

Out for season
GYoungstown State
Knee
January 23, 2018
Santiago (knee) suffered cartilage damage to his knee Dec. 29 against Robert Morris and will miss the remainder of the season , John Vargo of the Tribune Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Santiago tore his ACL in the summer of 2017 but elected to play through the injury, wearing a knee brace on his knee instead of undergoing surgery. On Nov. 29 against Robert Morris, he tore cartilage in that same knee, effectively ending his season. Santiago put up 2.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game this year while playing through the injury. Youngstown State is currently in the process of an appeal for a sixth year of eligibility for the senior guard, so he could potentially play next season if the NCAA grants him an additional year.
