DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Monday brings only six games on the NBA schedule, but there is a lot of elite talent to choose from for your DraftKings entry as the Warriors, Pelicans, Sixers and Pistons are all in action. Here are some players with favorable matchups across the price scale who can hopefully help you earn some money.

Guards

Lou Williams, LAC at BKN ($7,600): Although the Clippers traded away Blake Griffin, they are deeper than they have been in a while now as they are finally starting to get healthy. Tobias Harris and Danilo Gallinari have been excellent offensively, but Williams has still also continued to provide value. In the four games since the addition of Harris and Avery Bradley, Williams has scored at least 30.3 DraftKings points in each contest. Both the Clippers and the Nets are in the top-eight in the league in pace of play, leaving Williams with plenty of opportunities to be productive once again.

Zach LaVine, CHI vs. ORL ($6,900): LaVine did not play Saturday in the second game of a back-to-back set as the Bulls continue to take a cautious approach with his return from injury. He'll be back on the floor Monday and has played at least 31 minutes in three straight games, which is a good sign for his playing time moving forward. The Magic allow the fourth-most DraftKings points per game (43.8) to opposing shooting guards, making LaVine someone to consider at this reasonable price.

D.J. Augustin, ORL at CHI ($5,300): Augustin scored 40.3 DraftKings points in his first game after the trade of Elfrid Payton, but came back down to Earth on Saturday with 23 DraftKings points. He played 35 minutes in that first game, but only 23 minutes Saturday as Shelvin Mack had the hot hand in that game. The Bulls allow fifth-most DraftKings points per game (48.4) to opposing point guards and the Magic play at the seventh-fastest pace (100.8 possessions per game) in the league, so Augustin can still provide value even if it is closer to an even split in playing time with Mack again Monday.

Forwards

Blake Griffin, DET vs. NO ($9,500): Griffin has played well with his new team, scoring at least 40 DraftKings points in four straight games. Not only did he score at least 21 points in three of those four contests, but he also dished out at least six assists in each game. Monday brings a favorable matchup against the Pelicans, who play at the fourth-fastest pace (101.8) and allow the second-most points per game (111.2) in the league.

Michael Beasley, NY at PHI ($6,800): Beasley is now the starting power forward for the Knicks with Kristaps Porzingis (knee) out for the season, playing at least 29 minutes in both games since Porzingis went down. Beasley usually is productive when he gets extended playing time and the last two games have been no different, scoring at least 38.3 DraftKings points in each contest. He's never shy about taking shots and should get plenty of opportunities to do so Monday as the Sixers play at the fifth-fastest pace (101.7) in the league. Don't hesitate to add him to your entry.

Reggie Bullock, DET vs. NO ($4,700): Bullock is settling into his new role now that Bradley is out of the picture, scoring at least 29.3 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. Not only has he been excellent from behind the arc, but he also grabbed at least five rebounds in each of those three games. Considering the pace at which the Pelicans play and their struggles on defense, Bullock is a viable option at this cheap price.

Centers

Andre Drummond, NO at DET ($10,100): The addition of Griffin has not limited Drummond's production with Drummond scoring at least 44.8 DraftKings points in each of the six games that they have played together. He averaged a whopping 18.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in those six contests. Don't expect the porous Pelicans' defense to be able to slow him down Monday.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC at BKN ($7,200): Although Jordan's scoring opportunities have decreased with the improved health of the Clippers, he's still averaged 17.2 rebounds in his last five games. Monday brings an excellent matchup against the Nets who allow the most DraftKings points per game (56.9) to opposing centers. Even if he's not scoring much, Jordan can still do enough on the boards and defensively to make him worth considering for your entry.

Pau Gasol, SA at UTA ($4,800): Gasol has played 20 minutes or less in three of his last four games, limiting his opportunities to be productive. He should be in line for added playing time Monday though as LaMarcus Aldridge (knee) has already been ruled out. The Spurs are going to need his size up front against a big Jazz frontcourt, giving him the potential to out produce his price point.
