FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings a quiet night in the NBA with only four games on the schedule. Even though you won't have a ton of options for your FanDuel entry, that doesn't mean there aren't enough to create a great entry. Consider using the players below who could all provide value Tuesday.

Guards

DeMar DeRozan, TOR vs. MIA ($9,300): DeRozan is in the midst of an excellent scoring stretch, averaging 33.4 points over his last five games. He's become a much better shooter from behind the arc this season, averaging a career-high 1.2 three-pointers per game. His usage rate of 30% is 14th-highest in the league and it could be even higher Tuesday with Kyle Lowry out of action. He's one of the more expensive options for the night, but DeRozan should still be worth the price.

Dennis Smith Jr., DAL vs. ORL ($6,100): Smith is still only playing limited minutes, but he has been able to score at least 28.1 FanDuel points in five straight games. On a Mavericks team that struggles offensively, Smith's 27.6% usage rate places him inside the top 20 in the league. This is an excellent matchup against a Magic team that plays at the sixth-fastest pace (101.9 possessions per game) in the NBA and also allows the most FanDuel points per game (50.2) to opposing point guards.

Shabazz Napier, POR at OKC ($4,800):Damian Lillard (calf) has already been ruled out for this game against the Thunder, leaving Napier to make another start. He's excelled in that role this season, averaging 18.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.8 three-pointers over five starts. He averaged 36 minutes in those games, so he should be able to provide value at this price based on volume alone despite having a tough matchup against Russell Westbrook.

Forwards

Harrison Barnes, DAL vs. ORL ($6,800): The Mavericks roster is short on talent, leaving Barnes on pace to average 35 minutes per game for the second straight season. His playing time and 24.9% usage rate give him a high floor most nights, resulting in at least 32 FanDuel points in four straight games. The Magic allow the fourth-most points per game (110.7) in the league, leaving Barnes with an excellent opportunity to provide value.

Serge Ibaka, TOR vs. MIA ($5,900): Ibaka has been a consistent producer for the Raptors this season, scoring at least 33.9 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. Once an elite shot blocker, Ibaka has turned back the clock lately, blocking 13 shots over his last four games.

Josh Richardson, MIA at TOR ($5,600): The Heat have dealt with numerous injuries this season, resulting in Richardson averaging a career-high 34 minutes per game. Their overall health has improved lately, but Dion Waiters (ankle) and Justise Winslow (knee) are still out. Richardson has scored at least 31.3 FanDuel points in 10 of his last 12 games, making him a viable option again Tuesday.

Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein, SAC at LAL ($7,500): The Kings continue to throw out different starting lineups and inconsistent rotations, but Cauley-Stein has still managed to provide consistent value. He enters Tuesday having scored at least 32.3 FanDuel points in six of his last eight games. He played well against the Lakers earlier this season, scoring a season-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds. The Lakers play at the fastest pace (103.9) in the league, leaving Cauley-Stein with added opportunities to be productive again Tuesday.

Julius Randle, LAL vs. SAC ($7,100): After coming off the bench for the majority of this season, Randle has started each of the team's last six games. He's increased his value since the move, averaging 16.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He's playing almost five minutes more per game as a starter, which provides a big boost when you consider his 24.5% usage rate is third-highest on the team. The Kings struggle to defend power forwards and centers, making Randle a viable option again Tuesday.

Bismack Biyombo, ORL at DAL ($5,600): Biyombo has done a nice job filling in for Nikola Vucevic (hand), averaging 8.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in six starts. He's averaging 28 minutes per game as a starter, so he's going to at least provide rebounds and blocks on most nights with that kind of playing time. The Mavericks don't have a lot of size up front and allow the tenth-most FanDuel points per game (53) to opposing centers, making Biyombo someone to consider if you need to save money at the position.
