DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The NBA follows up its star-studded Christmas Day slate with eight games Tuesday. While most of the top teams in the league have the night off, there are still plenty of great options to choose from for your DraftKings lineup. Here are some players to consider across the price scale to hopefully end your night with some extra cash.

Guards

Tyreke Evans, MEM at PHO ($8,600): Evans is in the midst of one of his best stretches this season, scoring at least 30 DraftKings points in seven of his last eight games. He's coming off of a monstrous performance Saturday against the Clippers when he scored 64.8 DraftKings points. The Grizzlies get another bad defensive team Tuesday in the Suns, who have allowed the most points per game (112.8) in the league. Look for another valuable performance from Evans.

Austin Rivers, LAC vs. SAC ($6,600): The Clippers are extremely thin due to injuries, leaving Rivers to average a career-high 33 minutes per game. He's cashed in the extra minutes of late, scoring at least 48.8 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. His 22.7% usage rate is the highest of his career, so expect him to continue to be valuable Tuesday.

George Hill, SAC at LAC ($4,600): De'Aaron Fox (quad) will be out for two weeks, which should open up more playing time for Hill. The Kings' rotation has been tough to project, but Hill played 34 minutes in the first game Fox missed Saturday against the Spurs, scoring 19.5 DraftKings points. Considering the Spurs allow the second-fewest DraftKings points per game (41.4) to opposing point guards, Hill's performance was respectable. With a much easier opponent on tap Tuesday, Hill is someone to consider at this price.

Forwards

Khris Middleton, MIL vs. CHI ($8,400): Middleton continues to be one of the more reliable DFS options, scoring at least 30.5 DraftKings points in 12 straight games. He excelled in his last matchup against the Bulls, scoring an impressive 53.5 DraftKings points. Even with stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe around him, Middleton still has a career-high 25.0% usage rate. Expect another valuable outing Tuesday.

Zach Randolph, SAC at LAC ($6,000): Randolph's value continues to be limited due to the inconsistent rotations deployed by the Kings. He's played 28 minutes or fewer in four of his last five games, but has still been productive by scoring at least 28.8 DraftKings points in all four of those games. The Clippers are lacking size up front outside of DeAndre Jordan, so they are going to have trouble slowing down Randolph in the post. He's reasonably priced Tuesday, so consider Randolph for your entry.

Bobby Portis, CHI at MIL ($4,600): At first glance, Portis' playing time of late would appear to be concerning, playing 21 minutes or less in three straight games. However, two of those games were blowouts and one was a tough matchup against the Cavaliers, so don't be overly concerned. He played 29 minutes in his last game against the Bucks, scoring 46 DraftKings points. He's one of the focal points of the Bulls bench and plays center when they go small, leaving him as a viable option at this cheap price.

Centers

Andre Drummond, DET vs. IND ($9,300): Drummond has destroyed the Pacers in three games this season, averaging 16.0 points, 16.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. That should come as little surprise as the Pacers allow the most DraftKings points per game (58.4) to opposing centers. Don't be afraid to pay up for Drummond on Tuesday.

Myles Turner, IND at DET ($6,700): Turner is rolling right now, scoring at least 30.5 DraftKings points in seven of his last nine games. One of those was a dominant performance against these same Pistons when he scored 41 DraftKings points. He provides a ton of value on the defensive end, averaging a career-high 2.5 blocks per game. Look for him to be a viable mid-tier priced option in his battle with Drummond.

Bismack Biyombo, ORL at MIA ($3,800): The Magic continue to deal with injuries to vital parts of their team, the latest being starting center Nikola Vucevic (hand) who is now out for 6-to-8 weeks. Biyombo should take over as the starting center and see significantly more playing time than the 15 minutes per game he has averaged so far. While he likely won't provide much offense, he averaged 6.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in only 22 minutes per game last year. He won't cost you much, making him an intriguing option based on his new role.
