Wednesday's MLB slate begins at 12:35 PM Eastern time and features 14 games. One of the two pitchers suggested below costs twice as much as the other, but both represent strong value relative to their respective prices and can be built around using some of the accompanying hitter options.

PITCHER
Charlie Morton, HOU vs. TB ($52): Morton loves pitching at Minute Maid Park, where he's 5-1 with a 2.76 ERA in eight starts this season. Look for the righty to once again exploit his home venue's meager 0.82 park factor against a weak Rays lineup. Tampa Bay ranks eighth from the bottom at 3.94 runs per game, while Morton's 30.6 percent strikeout rate this season makes him an elite option in that category as well.
Chad Bettis, COL vs. NYM ($26): It seems like almost every pitcher to face the Mets recently has found success, so Bettis should be no different and comes very cheap at just $1 above the minimum. He's lost only once in 14 starts this season and has racked up six strikeouts in each of his past three starts, so Bettis offers nice value relative to price in this favorable matchup while freeing up plenty of cap space to use at other positions. New York sits 25th in runs per game at 3.87 and ranks right in the middle of the pack at 8.65 strikeouts per contest.
CATCHER
Salvador Perez, KC vs. TEX ($17): Perez isn't having the best of years, but he continues to get opportunities as the Royals' cleanup hitter. Don't be surprised to see him capitalize on those opportunities against Rangers righty Austin Bibens-Dirkx, who has surrendered a .354 career wOBA in righty-on-righty situations. That number's .018 higher than his mark allowed to left-handed hitters.
FIRST BASE
Yonder Alonso, CLE vs. CWS ($16): Alonso's back in the lineup just in time to capitalize on this favorable matchup. White Sox righty Reynaldo Lopez has allowed a .373 wOBA to the 99 left-handed hitters he's faced on the road this season while Alonso's home wOBA against righties is .358 (it's .340 overall). Throw Progressive Field's league-high 1.37 park factor into the mix, and the case for Alonso at $16 looks excellent compared to many of the options priced above him.
SECOND BASE
Joe Panik, SF vs. MIA ($9): Miami's Jose Urena doesn't strike much fear into left-handed hitters with his career .336 wOBA allowed in that split, making Panik a nice value play against the right-hander. Panik costs just $9 despite a passable .331 career wOBA facing righties. While he's moved around the batting order quite a bit this season, the left-handed slugger has often found himself maximizing plate appearances out of the leadoff spot.
THIRD BASE
Brian Anderson, MIA at SF ($17): Anderson isn't getting a ton of fanfare on a subpar Marlins squad, but he's quietly putting together an impressive campaign, especially against left-handed pitching. His wOBA in that split is .363, and it should climb even higher after this date with San Francisco's Derek Holland. Holland's allowing a .360 wOBA to batters from the right side after surrendering a .408 mark last season.
SHORTSTOP
Trea Turner, WAS vs. BAL ($16): Turner's wOBA in righty-on-righty matchups is actually .007 higher than his mark against lefties this season, so he's set up for a strong performance against Orioles right-hander Andrew Cashner, who's allowing a .404 wOBA to batters from the right side. With 66 stolen bases in 168 games played since the start of last season, Turner's also a major threat to add value on the base paths any time he gets on.
OUTFIELD
Joey Gallo, TEX at KC ($15): Gallo's an all-or-nothing player, with 59 home runs since the start of last season but a batting average barely north of .200. It's important to be selective with your usage of Gallo, but it's hard to ignore his upside in this favorable matchup. Of the left-handed slugger's aforementioned 59 recent long balls, 47 have come against right-handed pitching. Meanwhile, Royals righty Jakob Junis just surrendered three home runs in his last start and has a HR/9 of 1.90 on the year.
Leonys Martin, DET at CIN ($16): Martin's .365 wOBA through 177 at-bats against righties this season makes Detroit's leadoff man a strong choice against Reds starter Tyler Mahle. Mahle's surrendered a .391 mark to batters from the left side this season, so this remains a favorable matchup despite the right-hander's improvement over his past three starts.
Charlie Blackmon, COL vs. NYM ($18): Blackmon's a steal at this price, as he costs $1 less than fellow left-handed Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez despite averaging 7.6 fantasy points to Gonzalez's 5.6. Both sluggers should find success against Mets righty Seth Lugo, who has a 2.05 career ERA at Citi Field but a 4.93 road mark. Coors Field is as tough as it gets in terms of road venues given its second-ranked, 1.36 park factor.
